Christmas Eve for students

Is your family celebrating Christmas in another country, do you want to enjoy Christmas with other students or would you just like to try something different this year?

Then spend a “hyggelig” Christmas Eve on the 24th of December arranged by Studenterhus Aarhus and the Student Priests.

We invite both danish and international students from different studies and we are going to have a nice time together!

If you play an instrument or have a special local Christmas tradition you are more than welcome to share.

Program for Christmas Eve:
3 PM Æbleskiver, gløgg, and Christmas dinner preparations.
3.30 PM If you want to try a Danish Christmas service, here’s your chance, if not more, you can help getting dinner ready
6 PM Danish Christmas dinner based on the chefs traditions.

Afterwards we dance around the tree, sing carols, enjoy each other’s company – in short: We have a good time and plan to finish around midnight.

Place: UngK, the youth church, Nørre Allé 23K, 8000 Aarhus
Time: We meet at 3 PM, but you can also join us at 5 PM, if drinking gløgg and/or going to church isn’t something for you.

Price: 100 DKR. + ticket fee 10 DKR.

Samtalesalon d. 3. december

//ENGLISH BELOW

Kom til samtalesalon og få en god snak! Denne gang er temaet: Traditioner.

Du behøver hverken at forberede dig eller at have nogen særlig forudgående viden.

(For Danish and international students)

Have a good talk with people you don’t know (yet!).

The talk requires no preparation or previous knowledge. The important thing is only your desire to talk and having an intereset in other people.
It is an informal meetingplace, where you have the opportunity to have discussions that digs deeper than small-talks do. The purpose of the event is to create a forum for a good, free and relaxed conversation about important issues.

Conversation Café will take you through the various themes with ‘appetizers’ initiated and guided by a host. In other words, you will be taken by the hand and led through the afternoon.

The event takes place in Mødelokale 2.3 in Studenternes Hus, Nordre Ringgade 3, 8000 Aarhus C. from 4 to 7 p.m. and the entrance is for free.
We provide food (perhaps rice-pudding), so please let us know if you join, so there will be enough for everybody
