At Aarhus University there is a room available for all students to find calm and quiet in a busy day of studies. It is called The Quiet Room – Stillerummet – and it is a soundproof room which students may use at any time.
Students use the room to catch a break or calm their thoughts or to pray or meditate.
Whatever the purpose and religious affiliation, the room is open for all students, so long as everybody also respects others’ need for quiet in the room. The room is open both during the day and the evening.
On Mondays from 6 to 6.30 in the evening the student chaplains offer a guided meditation in the room, and everybody is welcome to join – if you are interested, you just show up.
Location: The Student House, Nordre Ringgade 3, room 124, 8000 Aarhus C.
